I'd be delighted to help solve your design dilemmas and create a warm, inviting and modern interior for your home.
You've arrived at the right designer…With my 20 years of interior decorating and interior designing experience, I have the expertise to create functional and elegant spaces for you. I can't wait to get started to help you with your project. Are you ready?
All projects start with a 2-hr consultation at your home. It's the first step in potentially working together on your project.
The goal of this consultation is to bring some shape to your project by giving you practical design advice and recommendations. It'll provide you with a lot of concrete and useful information to move your project to the next step of the design discovery and planning process.
It is not intended to give you a complete design, nor to make any decisions on your project. Decisions aren't made at this initial stage. It's actually a brainstorming session to explore the possibilities of which direction your design could take. Arriving at a final approved design takes time - allow the necessary time for yourself to mull over options, look at ideas you might not otherwise consider and allow the design to evolve. I have found that this method produces optimal results for my clients.
Before we meet, you'll receive a questionnaire. It's an opportunity to pinpoint what your design dilemmas are and to consider other aspects of your project. The more information you can provide, the better I can understand how to solve your design dilemmas.
The consultation is about understanding what your functional requirements are for each room. All design &/or decorating project start with this - understanding how each room in your room needs to work for you. it's only after when we start working together in Phase 2 that we start discussing your aesthetic preferences.
The deliverables for this consultation are:
Professional design &/or decorating recommendations
Answers & Recommendations about your Top Design Dilemmas
Feedback to your ideas as to what's viable, or impractical
Info about realistic project costs
Info about realistic project timelines
If applicable, one hand-sketched floor layout space plan for one room only. This is solely meant as a visual reference to our discussion about other viable layouts. No other drawings are provided at this point.
A brief visual presentation of design concepts for one room only - based on your questionnaire responses
A written summary of my recommendations on the next business day
BONUS: I always provide much more information beyond your initial design dilemma questions.

NOTE:
With the consultation, there are NO:
computer drawings,
3D drawings,
site measurements,
to-scale plans,
researched product options,
product samples,
colour palette recommendations

If you would like to have any of these points as part of the consultation, we recommend choosing either our Designer for a Day package, or a custom package to suit your needs*.
After our Consult - you could hire us for Full-Service Design, or you might decide to complete the project on your own, or hire us for somewhere in between. We can discuss this at our consult.
